Maps Have Stopped Working On My iPod Touch 4

I went to check my map to get directions and the map is blank all I see is a grid on a dark gray screen

the only map i can see is the satellite view. The reglure and hybrid maps don't show up.

How do I fix this, if I can.

I have restarted my iPod holding down home and power buttons until I seen the apple logo, that didn't fix it.

I have never had an issue with the Maps before.

I just noticed Google maps are not working. I have a weather app that uses google maps and the map isn't working on it either.

So maybe this is not an issue with my iPod Touch Maps?
