stopwatch on IOS4

I installed IOS4, once stopwatch is working it pops up on the screen instead of the regular clock face.

ios3 didn't do this, once I moved to regular clock face it stayed this way and each time I twisted my hand i saw the clock face

on IOS4 however when I twist my hand it shows the stopwatch, very annoying, I need the stopwatch in the background and i didn't find the setting for this

did I missed it?
