Recovery Partition older than macOS version.
Hello
I am working on an iMac which is currently running Sierra 10.12.6. When I hold down the option key at boot, Macintosh HD is listed, along with Recovery 10.12.1. Why is the recovery partition older than the macOS version and why is it showing up in the boot volume selection? Has the recovery partition not been updated when macOS was and is that why it is being recognised as its own volume? Without doing a clean install how can I fix this and bring the recovery partition up to date?
