Cable removal from back of imac

how do I remove the cable which charges the keypad from the back of iMac.

i was told you just can't remove cables they have to be dragged to waste basket

but I can't find any icon or ???? To drag

can someone please advise

You can just unplug this. It's when an external drive - such as a USB stick or an external hard disk - appears on your Desktop that you must eject it by dragging it to the Trash or hitting command-e and waiting for it to disappear (and for a few seconds afterwards, to be safe). With something like a keypad which doesn't mount on the Desktop there's no need to do this.
