Disk utility not seeing usb drive

I am in the process of migrating from a Windows machine to a Macbook Pro.  I have 4 external usb drives, all formatted NTFS. Three are Western Digital and one is a Toshiba.  From the Macbook I can read the 3 WD drives and copy the info I need from them onto my mac but not only can I not read the Toshiba drive the Disk Utility program does not show it.  Once I copy the info I need from the drives to my macbook I will reformat the drives to a more Mac friendly format but need to get the info from the Toshiba drive first.  The Toshiba drive is still usable on my Windows 7 machine.  Any idea what is causing this issue?
