Problems with iTunes 12.7

iTunes 12.7, running on Windows 10 Pro (multi-user environment), interfacing with Apple devices running iOS 6 and 9.  I have iPod 4th Gen, running iOS 6, and an iPad 2, using iOS 9.  This includes legacy apps no longer available from iTunes that I paid for and distribute from my computer to my devices.  Hiccups are holding me back from upgrading to iOS 11 on my iPhone SE.

Two problems.

One, iTunes 12.7 took away app management and storage of apps on the computer for download from the computer.  Ringtones also affected; I make my own ringtones and now have no way to migrate them from my computer to my iPhone.  Frankly, app management and ringtones were about the only featureså of iTunes I used.  Now, their gone and iTunes is practically useless to me.  Plus, I have no way to customize my phone in future.

Two, in an effort to restore the functionality of iTunes, I tried "rolling back" to an earlier version.  I could not find iTunes 12.6.  From your website, I found 12.4.3 and 12.1.3.  I was unable to download 12.4.3; it would uninstall itself and not tell me why.  I was able to download 12.1.3 but, after removing iTunes.itl, when I got iTunes 12.1.3 up and running, it was unable to communicate with any of my Apple devices.

This is a serious degradation of functionality and totally without warning.  I am a loyal Apple customer, but right now, I'm banging my head against the wall.

What am I to do?
