Mac book air not charging

My mac book air is not charging when i connect it with charger its light glow for a second and turn off

It could be that you need a new power adapter. To test it, try a different power adapter on your Mac and/or try your power adapter on a different Mac. If you can't do that, bring the Mac and power adapter to an Apple Store “genius” bar for a free diagnosis: https://support.apple.com/contact
