I have El Capitan but cannot upgrade to Sierra. I am told I can upgrade if I have 10.7 and I have 10.11.6. Any reason why I cannot get Sierra? My iMac is from mid 2007, perhaps it is the age?
2007 iMacs can not run Sierra.
Here is a complete list of the ones that can.
- iMac: Late 2009 or newer.
- MacBook and MacBook Retina: Late 2009 or newer.
- MacBook Pro: Mid 2010 or newer.
- MacBook Air: Late 2010 or newer.
- Mac Mini: Mid 2010 or newer.
- Mac Pro: Mid 2010 or newer.
