Runkeeper Activities Calorie Burn

My runkeeper runs are syncing with my Apple Watch activities in IOS and shows a certain calorie burn, but Apple Activity isn't using that calorie burn total. This confuses me since Runkeeper is running on my watch and taking my calorie burn with my heart rate.

For example I will start my day with a run and Runkeeper says 450 calories, but Apple Activity will say I have only burned a total of 350. Why the discrepancy?

If you have not yet done so, it may help to update watchOS and/or Runkeeper to the latest software versions.

Changes in version 7.13.1 of Runkeeper included: "We fixed a number of bugs including a data syncing issue with Apple Watch":

Hi

I suggest that you consult the developer's support resources for Runkeeper and/or contact the developer for assistance with issues concerning use of their app:

Thanks.

I am well aware of the runkeeper help network, but this is not a runkeeper issue. The runs are syncing over, and calorie totals showing. Those calorie totals are just not counting towards Apple Activity rings.

Any data syncing issues relating to use of a third-party app lie with the third-party app developer.

Keep in mind that the Heath app on your iPhone combines health and fitness data from Apple Watch, iPhone and any other data sources (including third-party apps).

When doing so, it automatically adjusts the reported results to avoid any double-counting of the same type of data for the same period from different sources.

Also keep in mind that some third-party apps may report total calories, whereas the Move goal on Apple Watch focuses on active calories.

More information:

Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

The app is syncing and reporting in the activity app (see attached) and the active calories are noted. But the activity totals will still be more than the total reflected in Apple Activity. It appears it has to do with the calorie calculation in Apple Activity. FullSizeRender 2.jpg

I am also having this issue with calories burned not matching between RunKeeper and the Activities app. My runs are syncing over as I can see the workout in the Activities app, but the calories burned are vastly different. For example, RunKeeper may show that I burned 700 calories on a run, but the Activities app will only show 525.

I am using an iPhone 6s with Apple Watch series 2. iOS and apps on both devices are also up to date.

Anyone got to the bottom of This yet? I also have the same issue. The Activity app shows an active calorie amount from my RunKeeper run, but the activity toTal for the day is much lower. Very frustrating. Mine is almost 600 out today!
