wifi support on imac 8.1

why there is no wifi on imac early 2008 8.1 when I install mac os sierra?

An early 2008 iMac can't run Sierra without a hack. Loss of Wi-Fi may be a result of that.

To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.

macOS 10.12 (Sierra) requires one of the following Macs:

iMac (Late 2009 or later)   Model 10.1 and higher
