iCloud restore stalled due to corrupted backup ...

So I run into this problem every year when I get a new phone or forced to do a full reset. I always have a lot of apps (around 1,000) and the large number of apps seems to have a lot of problems for the OS and specifically with the backup file.

When I updated my iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 11 on Tuesday, it crashed my phone. My phone would constantly crash every time I wake it up. It usually takes about a minute before it comes back on. I decided to reset the phone by installing a full new firmware from iTunes and then restore from iCloud backup.

Now when I restore my phone from a recent iCloud backup, I can get into the spring board, but app restore would stall after around 100 apps are downloaded back on the phone. I tried many times, it always fails. Is there anyway to force the download to continue? Even if I manually stop the restore (most of the times based on my attempts, restore will automatically stop / fail after a few hours of inaction.), and then go to the App Store to download individual apps, they will get stuck also. The only exceptions are those apps that are not currently on this backup. Say if I have Instagram waiting to be downloaded from the iCloud backup, even if the system restore is terminated, I still can't download Instagram from the App Store directly. When I tap on the download button, it will just show me a circle forever.

Note: iTunes backup would fail for the same reason. Apps will not be fully restored back to a new phone / setup.

Does anyone know how to force download apps? It would take days for me to recreate my old folder structure. Thanks!
