Install an older backup of Iphone

I have lost my notes on my iphone. I then did something stupid as I already had an backup in Itunes from may but I a new one just in case. Now I cannot activate the old backup from may. I can locate the information in the AppData folder but not see the old bacup in Itunes.

How can I activate the old backup?

iTunes typically makes one rolling backup per device until such time as you restore one. All valid backup sets in the ..\MobilsSync\Backup\ folder should be displayed to you.

I can see the old backup as you write but it is not visual in iTunes. ITunes tells me there is no backup as I used iTunes to delete the backup I by mistake made today. By deleting the new BU I thought the old backup from May would be back in iTunes. But no.

Do you have any other backup mechanism that includes your profile folder? If not then I think the damage is done and recovering from it is no longer possible. Here is what you should have done before taking a new backup. Archive iPhone backup in Windows.
