text message forwarding code not received to Ma...

My Macbook Pro stopped receiving and sending texts.  I tried to turn off, then turn on text message forwarding on my iPhone 6.  When I try to turn back on, it prompts me to enter code sent to my Macbook, but no code is sent.  I did the same thing with IPad air2 and it received code.  Obviously, same code doesn't work with macbook.  How do I receive this code, and sync Macbook to iPhone and iPad ai
