Delete iPad as Home Kit hub

So I initially set up an iPad as the Homekit hub and subsequently purchased and set up an Apple TV 4. I'd now like to remove the iPad as if I'm travelling with the iPad, the phone Home app displays an annoying 'iPad not reachable' warning. Resetting the app is not the solution, it's undoubtedly somewhere in iCloud settings, but that's a guess.

Any thoughts?

Go into the iPad Settings > iCloud > switch off Home.  When the device, in this case your iPad, is out of the home, it no longer acts as the home hub -- Automate and remotely access your HomeKit accessories - Apple Support

You may want to create your own post in order to receive the specific help needed to resolve your particular issue.

Settings > Home > Turn off “Use this iPad as a Home Hub”

If you do what is suggested above you won’t be able to use the home app on your iPad
