Deleting an expired email/Apple ID

I’m getting charged for ITunes that are not valid and suspect it is because I have 2 Apple IDs.  How do I eliminate the old expired Apple ID attached to an old email account

Apple ID cannot be deleted, you can only sign out (with the correct password)
