combine 2 users accounts on macbook pro

after using migration assistant to transfer files from old macbook air, I ended up w 2 accounts on the new macbook pro. How do I combine the two users accounts? Thanks!

Combine two+ Users Accounts on the same machine

You can't. You will need to choose the migrated account. This has happened because you already have an account on the Target computer with the same name as the account on the Source computer that you are trying to migrate. Migrate Assistant will not overwrite nor merge accounts with the same name.

That probably happened because the accounts had the same names on your old Mac and new Mac. There are 2 ways you could accomplish what you want:

1. Erase the volume on the new Mac, and migrate again.

2. Move the contents of the folders (Documents, Downloads, Movies, Music, etc) from your old account name on your new Mac into the Users/Shared folder. Then drag the items within the folders into the same folders on the new account.

If it was mine, I would use the first way as it will be much quicker.
