New Macbook Pro and Safari running extremely slow

I just bought a new Macbook Pro a couple of days ago and my Safari and internet seems to be running really slow. Safari pauses out and the only way I can get it working again is to close Safari and reopen, but it startes runing slow and pausing again shortly after. Any suggestions? I've also shut down my modem and wireless, but that didnt seem to help either.  Thanks!

I've also downloaded FireFox and the same thing happens. When I first turned on my computer I immediatly hooked up to wireless and not directly to my modem, would this have made a difference during setup?

What I usually do is disconnect and then reconnect to my internet, and that does the trick.

If that doesn't work, try a restart of your MacBook .
