Activation Lock on my 10

I am the original owner of this iPad. All of a sudden the Activation Lock screen appeared tonight.

I cannot remember the original apple ID password used to set up the device 10 years ago.

I changed my current apple ID in the hopes I could sign in with that but without success.

I removed the iPad device from both my apple ID account as well as my wife's apple ID account.

I restarted the iPad but the activation lock remains in place.

The iPad device does not show up on my apple ID account or on my wife's apple ID account.

I have no idea what to do...

Does anyone have any suggestions?
