Unable to leave family sharing

I discovered this problem when I was unable to download a few apps on my iPhone. I received the pop up saying that there is a billing problem with a family members previous purchase and to ask the family organizer to update their billing information. To my knowledge I have never set up family sharing or granted access to join one. Then I noticed I received an email yesterday that my bill to renew my HBO account didn't go through so I clicked on the link that said account settings. This took me to the account settings where it shows my family organizer to be iiklcf7@icloud.com and that they need to enter their security code to their visa card number for payment to go through. THEN I notice that there was a 20.00 charge to my account for gems on clash of clans. I did not recognize the card number, the iCloud address, or the charge to my account, therefore I immediately refuted the charge, changed my password, and set up the two-factor authentication. So to try and leave whatever family sharing group i was unknowingly apart of I click the 'set up family sharing' link on my iPhone. Then i receive a pop up saying that I can not start family sharing because my account is already being used to share purchases in "Promotion Official's" Family. Hmm, that doesn't seem like an American families name... Ive repeatedly done research on how to leave family groups however nothing seems to be working. Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Time to try Apple Support. Maybe they can access your Apple ID account and fix this.

Family Sharing - Leave

This is where I first explored a solution to my problem, however my phone doesn't give me an option to leave a family group in the settings. Only the link to set up family sharing exists and when I click on it, I get an error message saying I already belong to a family.

Time to try Apple Support. Maybe they can access your Apple ID account and fix this.

Hi! I have been having the same problem. I contacted Apple Support last Sunday (April 30) and they said they were working on it. I have yet to hear back from Apple about the issue.

Have you had the problem fixed yet?

This may sound like a hacked system

Because I received a pop up from someone at Syria trying to get in my Apple ID

I immediately click no and Change my password right away!

I'm still waiting to hear from the Apple engineer to fix this

Have you gotten this issue fixed? I had this same problem a few months back and they said they were fixing it and now it has happened to me again. It is very frustrating.
