How can I install a custom app in high sierra?

So, it's been widely reported how Apple removed the ability to manage apps in iTunes.

However, what about installing a custom app? We have been working on an app for our company, as a tool, not for the app store.

How do we install this? In the past, I'd drag and drop on iTunes, and then sync... but now, that does not work.

Did apple move this ability someplace else? Does anyone have ideas? I have iMazing, but was having some trouble...

Anyone have guidance?
