I have a 1st generation watch. Face fell off.  They are now quietly replacing watches because of a swollen battery problem.  No need to pay the $209 charge that shows up when you try to have it repaired out of warranty.  It doesn't seem to be mentioned on the Apple site.  You can google Apple Watch replacement swollen battery for more info.  They are sending me a box to send my watch in and will replace once FedEx receives the tracking information.
