iPod music disappears.

I use my iPhone for music when I work out.  I keep an iPod in my car on USB in case I forget my iPhone, as I did recently, the first time in a few months.

Although 90% of the music is from my CDs, anything I try to play now shows "..." and wants a wifi connection, not available on the club's track.  Once this happened with the iPhone on an album I had bought, so I just had to download it again.  Still, WHY does this happen???

I'm not anxious to reload dozens of CDs AGAIN!!!
