delete malware

I am running iMac with Yosemite 10.10.5 and getting continuous ads possibly when I thought I was updating Adobe Flash Player. Then I get a tel number to call and buy a MacAffee malware remover. This problem exists when I am using Safari. I am now using Firefox and it seem to run OK.
