Does iTunes 12.7 for Mac have Play Count issues?

There seems to be an issue in iTunes 12.7 (for some people) where tracks played in iTunes are not updating the Play Count and Last Played. Is anyone experiencing this on a Mac or is it limited to PC users?

I also have similar issue, but to be honest, I've been living for at least 1 year without any possible way to get this feature to work. So I'd say this new version didn't cause the bug, but for sure didn't fix it...
