Is the free digital HD download that comes free...

So I downloaded the "free" digital HD download that came with the Blu-ray+DVD+digital HD combo and when I actually downloaded it to my iPhone I noticed at the bottom it had a section about renting movies on iTunes. Does anyone know if these digital copies in movies are only rentals or do I have it for life? If it's a rental I don't want to watch it right away because it expires 24 hours after. And I'm going on vacation and it would be nice for my kids (and for me!) to be able to watch it in the car on the way. I'd appreciate someone's input that has done this before because I can't seem to find a solid answer or a different person curious about it. Thanks!

It's yours for life (unless it explicitly says that it's a rental on the DVD/blu-ray, which I've never seen any say). Note that you may not be able to redownload it, so take a backup copy after you download it

What do u mean a backup copy?

When you download the digital copy, which I'm assuming that you will do via your computer's iTunes (if you download it on an iOS device you can copy it over to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases), add it your backup of your downloads/computer (assuming that you might want to watch it again in the future and if something happens to that copy e.g. your computer crashes)

Ok that makes sense. I only use my phone or iPad. No desktop in the house so I guess I'll just roll the dice on it.
