how to sync contacts to my pc

i have an iPhone 4s.recently it's screen went dead.i haven't backed up anything to cloud/itunes/store.i bought a new windows phone and I tried to backup my contacts in the iPhone to my pc. I didn't have iTunes on my pc and I installed it. Then  I tried to connect my iPhone  to it. But it says it requires the passcode of my iPhone and has to be unlocked from the iPhone within. I really want those contacts  back.

is there any way of getting them without replacing the touch screen?

because I've already bought a new phone.
