where are my missing songs

I had some "purchased" music but now the songs are gone, where did they go?...not anywhere on my MBP and I don't use the cloud. And not in time machine

New computer? New user profile? If the files are in the media folder see Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash. Otherwise see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device (or purchase histroy).

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Not many songs are missing, and won't be very expensive to replace. I just thought it is a bit strange. Thanks again.
