Upgrade RAM or Sell

I have a Mid 2011 iMac 27 inch with an Intel i5 2.7 GHz with 4GB of ram.  I am thinking of selling it or possibly upgrading my ram to 12 or 16Gigs.  IT is in great condition, mostly used for documents, internet some audio work.  I am doing more with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop and thinking that upgrading the RAM may speed things up.  It does have the original 1 TB hard drive still.
