iphone 8 not able to connect to itunes on windows

I just bought the iPhone 8 plus. I plugged it into my computer to restore from iTunes but it said the phone was not able to connect because of the version of iTunes. So I downloaded the newest version of iTunes and I’m still receiving the same message.
