How to update a used Macbook pro

I bought a used Macbook pro (13 inch late 2011 Mac OS 10.12.1) from a local seller. The Mac came installed with Keynote, Pages etc. It also came with iTunes, Garage Band,iMovie and iPhoto. When I try to update these applications I get the following error message:

This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.

The update is obviously associated to the older Mac account. How can I change this for my Macbook to be associated with my Apple account? I don't care if I don't have Keynote and Pages anymore since I use Open Office anyways.
