New iTunes makes me livid

I am seeing red! What was going on with Apple to have them take the functionality out of iTunes and not allow syncing of apps?

I have two iPhones, two iPads, one iPod and a MBP. I love Apple products, but this infuriates me. Now, I have to download the same app 5 times to install it on all of my devices. I can't just download an app once and then install it from my laptop. Why keep things easy when a more expensive and time-consuming option is available? 

I have to use up bandwidth downloading the same app over and over when once would have been enough. Whose tiny mind thought that it was a good idea to take away my control? Does Apple have an agreement with internet providers to drive up bandwidth usage?

Now I also have to dance through hoops to put .pdfs, epubs and other files on my devices when that task was so simple in the past. The choice to have or not have app syncing wasn't even offered as an option. I found out that the app functionality was stripped bare from iTunes without so much as a word of apology or warning. How wonderful it would have been to see a warning pop-up that said, "Warning: This version of iTunes will not allow you to sync apps any more."

I am so angry about this. I want to delete iTunes and dance on its rotted, fetid corpse.

Does anyone have any ideas about any non-Apple applications that I can install that will bypass iTunes and will allow me to sync files to my devices? I don't mind paying money to another company as long as I get my ease of file transfer and ability to store and install my apps back again. That money won't go to Apple for any app because they had a great app that worked well (previous versions of iTunes) and then they betrayed loyal users by ignoring their needs and going their own way.

I want the functionality back in iTunes. Apple says no, then I am taking out iTunes. I won't need it any longer.
