battery goes from 100% to 61% in 18 minutes??

I have been having battery issues. I start with 100% and 18 minutes later I'm at 61%. Apple said battery is fine. Would a logic board be problem? Was told board is going bad. I've got 589 cycles and it says normal. It's a 11 inch mid 2012. Any way to do some kind of self diagnosis on this??

Try resetting the SMC: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295.

If that doesn't work, it sounds like the battery is just getting old and won't hold a charge as long.
