updating a MacPro 5,1 from 3.2 cpu

Looking to update my 5,1 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon to a 3.3 GHz Quad 6 core ?

Also updating from a GTX 680 to a GTX 780.

What are my prospects for the CPU ?

Have a cable hookup in the works to do the GTX update.

My Mac Pro (mid 2010) 3.2 Ghz Quad core 5,1, running OS X El Capitan (10.11.6).

Senior moments I guess !

Well I have looked around at a few CPU swaps, even a whole CPU tray swap.

Not too much for the going price.Have not had any problems with the original CPU it came with.

The GTX video card is from my Digital Storm rig, but a GTX 1070 to replace the 780 FTW that was in it.

So a cable kit should put the video card up to snuff, replacing a 680 FTW..

Nowadays the price out ways my need to update this 5,1 as I and it get on in years.

Keeps me off the streets !!
