OSX Reduce Clutter not deleting files

Hi

I have a 128 gb iPad and a 64gb iPhone so I had a couple hundred gb of ios backups.

I went to About This Mac-Storage-Manage-Reduce Clutter to delete files and applications that I'm not using.

I selected the files to delete but it just moved them from the iOS tab and into the System tab but didn't actually delete any files or free up space.

Any ideas on how to fix that as a search didn't show and results to this specific problem?
