How do I turn off password prompt?

Hello,

     I play an online game called League of Legends which used to heat up my macbook pro pretty badly. I downloaded a program called, "SMCFanControl" which allows me to boost the RPM's at which my fan runs in order to keep the laptop cooler. I never had any issues with password prompting before with this program, and come to think of it, i have never been asked for a password from this program ever! Now all of a sudden, without installing any updates or anything, anytime i close and reopen my laptop lid I get this password prompt.

What I would like to know is, is there any way to give this prompt permanent automatic permission so that I no longer have to enter my password? if so, how do i do it? thank you all for any and all help.

Hi. you might what to go into SMC fan control and reset the preferences for it. If that does not work uninstall it and then re download it. This looks like a permissions issue. Please ensure to have the SMCFanControl App inside the applications folder and not any other folder and then open it from there. I had the same problem and fixed it by moving the app from the Downloads folder where it was originally residing to the Applications folder.
