Problem viewing external hard disk folders on iMac

I have a Seagate 2 TB external hard disk. On my iMac - El Capitan OS, the disk shows as read-only

and some folders are missing too. However, on a Windows system, I'm able to view these missing folders.

But, on checking the properties, the size shows as 0, though I'm able to open files under these folders. Can

you let me know what to do, in order to make these folders viewable on my Mac too? The disk appears

to be currently in NTFS format.
