It would be great to have an explanation and a fix for iTunes poor (not a strong enough word) performance on my Windows PC.

After my first iphone (iphone 2?) ca 2008, iTunes started out very well, but at some revision, it stopped working well. By that I mean iTunes would require HOURS to sync the phone. It does not matter what PC platform. Over several PCs it has been horrible. I've even installed and run the iTunes program on a Cray Supercomputer using Windows Server.... it was slow on a Cray......

Present platform is a i7 quad core with 8 GB ram and 2.8 GHz CPU clock. I have a 25 MB/S internet connection. I upgraded (again) to the latest iTunes (*12.7) an dmy iphone is on iOS 11. Slow Slow Slow.

Please Apple. Fix this turd software.
