Unknown error 4000 when trying update iphone 6

I am trying update my Iphone 6 to 11.---  from 10.3.3. via I Tunes I get an error 4000.    on the Phone it  says my 10.3.3 IOS up to date.   What is the problem.  Do I need to reset the phone and install from current I tunes back up that I made today?  Help
