What kind of demage we're talking about? The notebook's keyboard? An Apple Keyboard? A generic Keyboard? You can start to have a look here: Liquid damage to Mac computers and accessories not covered by warranty - Apple Support and if you perform a research on the internet, you can found lots of tutorial that you can follow at your own risk.

It is unlikely.   Clearly the amount of liquid is relevant but usually ANY liquid contact carries risk.   Keyboards are not worth repairing; the cost of labour being more than its value.  Replace it.
