Lost saved data in iCloud somewhere... :(

Hi all.

I spent all day yesterday working on an MS Word document on my Mac, and I saved it when I finished.

About twenty minutes later, when I'd gone to bed, I opened the same document in the MS Word app on my iPhone to read it, but I found that none of the work I'd done yesterday was in the document.

I just assumed that there had been a sync problem somewhere, closed the Word app and never thought any more about it. My work was safely saved downstairs on my Mac, wasn't it?

This morning I opened the Word document again on my Mac, and I found that all the work from yesterday had vanished! When I looked at the document properties I found that the last modification had been made at 10.22pm, which was when I'd briefly opened the document on my iPhone.

It seems that when I closed Word on my iPhone it saved the version of the document as it was on the iPhone, ie. without all my work on it from yesterday.

Unfortunately, no, I didn't back my Mac up before I went to bed...

Does this sort of thing happen regularly when viewing files on more than one device? It's a bugger when it does.
