13" Macbook Pro TouchID having issues with flic...

I just received my laptop today. Within a few hours of working on it, the screen displays 6 vertical columns of pink, blue and green flickering horizontal lines. On bootup it now shows a green column in the left most one.

Note that this only happens on the device's screen only, not on an external monitor.

It's incredibly frustrating, given this is a brand new machine. Any advice on what to do?
