Screenshot opens preview app instead of saving

Hi,

I have the macbook pro 2016 running mac os sierra 10.12.6

Whenever I use Command + Shift + 3 or Command + Shift + 4, instead of creating a file on Desktop, it opens the Preview app.

This happens only for my user.

How can I fix this?
