itunes music not showing

Wondering if anyone could help, recently got the new iphone 8 plus, transferring my previous phones history to the new phone, everything showing apart from music, music that I bought from itunes is showing but not music that I added manually to itunes. When I go to the itunes folder > itunes media > music folder. all the music is showing there, when I go to the settings on itunes I have it linked to that itunes folder, it worked transferring all my apps etc so I can't figure out why all the music is not showing, any ideas? i'm thinking it's down to a setting but I can't work it out? any help would be appreciated.

I have updated to all the latest versions on phone/itunes.
