I downloaded the new macOs High Sierra and inst...

I downloaded the new macOs High Sierra and installed it to my Mac mini. I think everything is ok except that to doesn't show the  screen for the new macOs  and the old El Capitan screen remains. It that a problem?

What do you mean by “the screen”?

Go to desktop -- on the top left corner..

Then click on Apple logo..

Select "About This Mac" to see what OS version is installed.
