i forgot apple id for my ipad now his lock

kindly help me in how to go about this issue on my ipad his telling me to enter my apple an password it's showing on the front of the screen a*****@icloud.com meaning that this mail start with A, but when i instant the password showing usersname or password is wrong i sign in to icloud.com/forgetpassword to recover it was success now am confuse cos still the same thing wrong password  because i only have 1 email start with A and after the recovery of the mail i can login into apple store and icloud.com but my ipad is not accepting the password please kindly help Thanks
