How to connected my updated "but not" iPhone to...

So I just bought this used watch from someone who never used it. I went to pair it and it stated that my phone wasn't updated. So I went ahead and updated to iOS3.3.3 . Now when I try and pair it, it states I'm still not updated. But when it says "update now" and I click that button it says its already updated. I've restored my phone twice and I am out of answers. I can't connect my watch to my phone someone help

The instructions here explain how to pair and set up Apple Watch:

 

 

It seems that your Apple Watch has previously been updated with watchOS 4 developer beta software, which means that it cannot be paired to an iPhone running iOS 10.x. watchOS is also not user-downgradable.

 

If you have an iPhone 5s or newer, then suggest that you wait until later on today, when iOS 11 is due to be released.

 

After updating your iPhone to iOS 11, you will be able to pair the Apple Watch. Before updating your iPhone, be sure to make a backup:

 

 

If you have an iPhone 5, then it cannot be paired with an Apple Watch running watchOS 4. If that is the case, then I suggest that you either return the Apple Watch for a refund or contact Apple Support or make a Genius Bar reservation for assistance.
