Returning iPod to Owner?
So long story short, my husband went to buy me a new iPod from a private seller, because my very loved very used 5th gen is having some SERIOUS software issues that I don't think are fixable. Anyways, he went to get it as a surprise, turned it on, saw it said Hello and decided that was legit. Got home, surprised me, annnnnnnd it's locked in Activation mode AKA this things stolen.
Is there anyway if I report it to Apple they can notify the original owner so I can try to return it? I only paid $40 for it and realistically I'm not too worried about that, but I would like to try to return it. Anyone have any info on this? Just trying to be a not 100% terrible person in this bad situation. Thanks in advanced for any information.
