I am trying to free up hard drive space but it ...

I have run out of space on my MacBook Pro,

I do have a an external hard drive where I have copied a lot of items onto that. Although I have copied and pasted many items and moved these originals on my Mac to Trash and deleted them I now have LESS storage!

I do not get it.

On Win - you just copy/paste/delete and that's it!

Why doesMac make it so hard to something so simple?

What do I need to understand here?

How do I move my files from Documents etc to my edd and then remove from Mac so I get my space back?

I also have files on the iCloud.
