Mac for Kindle: Disabling auto citations on cop...

I'm at a loss D: I find it seriously hard to believe that there isn't a toggle for the automatic citations Kindle appends to copied text. But I can't find a setting on the Mac Kindle app or anything on the internet about disabling this feature, short of purchasing a license to run a user-made Alfred script. This is happening on a textbook by the way. Anyone know anything??

I agree with you 100%. Just someone on Kindle support suggested I post here so I thought why not. But I figured out the answer, in the initial post's edits in case anyone reading this post wants to know.
