Bootcamp Partition and Windows 10 defragmentation

Hello,

I've recently transitioned from Windows 10 on a PC device to an iMac 27 (2017) with a 2TB fusion drive running a bootcamp partition.

I'm very happy with it but due to the inefficiencies of the Windows OS and drive/file allocations I'm wondering if I should be looking to install a defragmentation software on it to help keep it optimized.  I've seen folks from years ago recommending the use of Diskeeper by Condusiv.

From my PC setup I have a copy and licensure of this.  Is it still safe to run and use Diskeeper Pro 16 with a Windows 10 install on the more recent versions of bootcamp?  I've messenged the vendor but have not hear back.

Just wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions while waiting.

I would not bother with it. Today's drives are fast and much more efficient than years ago. In most cases, if you feel the drive is slowing due to fragmentation, then it's faster and safer to backup the drive, erase it, reinstall Windows, and restore your backup.
